Activation problems
”Invalid code” error
- Check for typos. Codes are 12 characters, mixed letters and numbers. Zero and letter O look similar; so do one and letter l.
- Check whether the code was already used. Provisioning codes are one-time-use. If you already activated successfully on this or another machine, the code is spent.
- Check with your manager that the code wasn’t revoked (revoking a rep invalidates their code).
If all three check out, ask your manager to Reissue the code.
”Code expired” error
Codes expire 7 days after issue if unused. Ask your manager to reissue.
I activated on the wrong machine
Each code is tied to the first machine that activates it. If you used it on a personal laptop by mistake and need it on your work laptop:
- Uninstall RingMentor from the personal machine.
- Ask your manager to Revoke and reissue your code.
- Install on the correct machine and activate with the new code.
The app says “Revoked”
Your manager has revoked your access. Contact them directly — this isn’t something support can override.
