Changelog

Major changes to RingMentor, newest first.

v0.4.15 — Cleaner end-of-call cleanup

  • Steadier session end. When you wrap a call, RingMentor now closes its transcription connection in a more controlled order, so sessions finish cleanly even when a call ends abruptly. Mostly invisible during the call; prevents stuck background connections from lingering after the session is done.

v0.4.14 — Disclosure prompt waits for a real conversation

  • The recording-disclosure prompt now waits for an actual back-and-forth with a live prospect. It no longer fires on voicemail greetings, phone-menu audio, or the first syllable of a connecting call.
  • The prompt now surfaces on manual starts (Listen Now) as well as auto-detect. Before, manual starts had no consent handling at all.
  • Smarter coaching vs confirmation. If RingMentor heard the call open and the rep didn’t give the disclosure, you get a coaching card to deliver it. If you joined mid-call (manual start, no captured open), you get a soft confirm banner instead. RingMentor will not flag a rep for a missed disclosure unless we actually captured the open.
  • Silent when disclosure is detected. If a recognized recording-disclosure line is spoken during the open, the prompt does not fire and the session is logged as compliant.

v0.4.13 — Fewer repeated nudges on gatekeeper calls

  • Less repetition when you haven’t reached the prospect yet. While you’re working past a receptionist or gatekeeper, RingMentor no longer rewords and re-fires the same reminder. It makes the point once, then stays quiet until something changes.
  • Sharper post-call review. The call’s final state (gatekeeper, voicemail, live prospect) now travels with the session, so your after-call recap and your manager’s review reflect what the call actually was.

v0.4.12 — Steadier call-state read and auto-detected outcome

  • Call-state read is steadier. RingMentor tracks where a call is (ringing or a menu, a gatekeeper, a live prospect) as a running read across the whole call instead of re-deciding every few seconds, so coaching settles in faster and second-guesses itself less.
  • The post-call review fills in the outcome for you. When you wrap a call, RingMentor reads the conversation and pre-selects the most likely outcome with a short Auto-detected note. Confirm with one tap, change it, or skip.
  • In-app Help. A Help link in Settings goes straight to the docs.

v0.4.11 — Coaching understands who’s on the line

  • The coach reads the call as a back-and-forth between you and the other party instead of one merged stream, so it stops mistaking your words for the customer’s.
  • Quieter on non-conversations. When a call is ringing, sitting in an automated menu, on hold music, or at a voicemail greeting, the coach stays out of the way instead of running sales advice at a machine.
  • Fewer, sharper alerts. The red “Critical” flag is reserved for genuine compliance and harmful-language catches, so when it fires it means something.

v0.4.10 — Recording-prompt control

  • The recording-disclosure confirmation is now optional per org. If your dialer or phone system already announces that calls are recorded, an admin can turn the prompt off in Settings, and sessions still record that consent was handled.
  • Coaching follows mid-call stage and playbook changes more reliably, and post-call reviews list stages in your script’s actual order.

v0.4.8 to v0.4.9 — Auto-detect calls + softer tone

  • Auto-detect (new). When you’re on a call in a browser dialer or a softphone, RingMentor notices and offers a one-tap Start coaching? prompt. Nothing is captured until you tap Start. A one-time consent screen runs the first time, and you can turn auto-detect on, pause, or off in Settings.
  • After you start, RingMentor asks you to confirm the recording disclosure, and records your answer with the session.
  • Softer coaching tone: suggestions read as invitations, not commands.

v0.4.7 — Stage-aware coaching

  • As a call moves from opening to questions to pitch, RingMentor offers a small “Sounds like you’ve moved to [stage]” chip. It suggests; you confirm. It never moves the stage on its own.
  • Coaching follows your playbook’s own stage order, not a generic funnel.
  • A reading-size control (S / M / L) for the script and coaching panes.
  • Sharper transcription of your org and playbook names.

v0.2.0 to v0.4.4 — Self-serve install, playbooks, and post-call reports

  • Install App page in the portal: download the desktop app yourself, no hand-off needed.
  • Playbooks: build multiple scripts (or let RingMentor draft them), assign them per rep, and switch playbooks mid-call without ending the session.
  • Dual-pane in-call view: your script on the left, live coaching on the right, with a Verbatim / Talking-points toggle.
  • After-action reports: every call gets an automatic summary (commitments, open questions, next-call agenda) in the portal.
  • Coaching intensity: dial how strictly RingMentor coaches to the script, per org and per rep.

v0.1.0 — Weekend build (2026-04-26)

  • First multi-tenant build. Three-tier hierarchy (Rep / Manager / Super-admin).
  • Desktop app: dual-source audio capture, live transcription, Claude live coaching.
  • Portal: rep provisioning, session upload, session list, session detail view.
  • Supabase backend with tenancy isolation.
